Hi all, I am a recent college graduate and I purchased Kaplan's PHR exam prep and Anne M. Bogardus's PHR certification study guide. I am also thinking about purchasing the HRCP prep thing. If I am testing in the Dec 1 - Jan 1 window of 2010, and I studied for 3-4 months, will I be able to pass the test?

Thanks in advance.

I took the PHR exam with very little experience and passed on my first try. I studied for about 4 months. I used the HRCP Program and would highly recommend it. Bogardus is a good supplement, but I haven't heard anything good about the Kaplan materials.

Be diligent and study hard. You can do it!

Good Luck!

Cool,
that gives me a lot of inspiration to work hard to pass the test!

I've started to study and I've noticed there's a lot of mention to the history of regulations and laws, will we be required to know the dates and history of these regulations or is the test more about how to implement these laws in real case scenarios?

Thanks in advanced!

You won't need to know dates and history, though that information can come in useful. You will need to know who a piece of legislation applies to, it's major provisions, and you will need to be able to apply it to a senario. This exam is all about application!

What year is your HRCP LS?

If you still have it and willing to sell it, how much would you ask for?

Thanks.

My HRCP program is not for sale. Not only was it a great tool for my PHR prep, but it's a great resource to have around.

Yeah,

When I get mine I'm going to save it too. It's a great resource and a if I pass it'd be a great memorabilia. I've saved a lot of my books from college as well.

Thanks anyway!
