I'm Terri and will be re-certifying by exam this December! I haven't decided if I'll do the PHR again or if I'll shoot for the SPHR this time around.

I am the Business Manager for HRCP, a leading provider of PHR/SPHR prep materials, so I will be using the HRCP Program exclusively (like I did last time). I'm not an HR practitioner and my hands-on experience is limited, but I know this exam and what it takes to pass it! I re-certify by exam every three years. I answer questions and guide people through the preparation process every day!

I have volunteered to lead this group, but would love to have others help with it!

Good luck to all of us!

Hi! My name is Michelle and I'm from New Orleans. I have about 4 years HR experience and I'm looking to take my PHR in December. This will be my second attempt so I'm hoping this study group will help me so I can pass this time around. I'm not a very good test taker!

Good luck to everyone!

Michelle

Hello, My name is Jessica A. I am studying to take the SPHR in December/January. I've been working in HR/Recruiting/Staffing for 6-7 years now.

I am currently working, so the evenings (after 6 pm Central) will probably be the best time for me.

Hello,

My name is Tanya-Marie Benjamin and I have been working in a HR Generealist's role for a total of 5 years. I plan on writing the PHR during the Decemember 2010/January 2011 session. I live in Ontario, Canada.

I have ordered two books and will be ordering the SHRM learning system in the near future. My schedule is very flexible so I am able to join chats as scheduled. I have completed many online courses over the years but this will be the first online study group that I participate in and I am really looking forward this experience.

Best of luck to all and I look forward to the upcoming discussions!

Howdy!

Mardra here from East Texas. My work history includes training, recruiting, working as a TWC career counselor and the last 2 years have been devoted to being a HR Generalist. I am PHR certified and will be sitting for my SPHR in December. I have spent the last 2 years working towards my MBA (which I will finish 3 weeks) so late night, long hour of studying is routine. I took a 10 week SHRM prep course through a local community college last fall while studying for my PHR and will be utilizing the same 5 module books/CD to study from for this exam (combined w/research on the web of the latest HR updates).

I look forward to working with each of you on this journey towards this major career milestone!
